Always up to something...

Maddox always keeps us on our toes!! He got invited to a b-day party recently at Monkey Joe's on the northside of Indy. This place is FULL of inflatables. He went CRAZY!! He tried to climb up the ladders with the big kids and then once at the top, he would push us away so he could go down by himself!!

Weeeeeeee!!!!!
Exploring outside.... what is that furry thing?

While waiting in the car to go in to Papaw Wood's Suprise 60th Bday Party, Maddox tried to climb into the back window of the car. He thought it was hilarious!

We wrapped Maddox in lights while trimming the tree... (This wasn't as exciting as climbing in the back of the car window!)

He likes to look at himself in the mirror and smile and play with hats, etc. I'll hear him saying "Cheese" and smiling really big at himself. Once you look at him, he quits like he is embarassed!

A Growing Boy...

Maddox is getting ready for the snow!! We put on his snowsuit to see what size fit and he thought it was the best thing ever. He took off laughing and running around the house! So funny!

Maddox "aka" Linus!

Maddox cracks us up! After we changed his diaper, he took off to play before we could put his jeans back on. His white onesie under his shirt is stretched out so it looks like he is wearing tighty whities!
Helping Mamaw Eckerle clean out the fridge. He actually was sort of a help- he put ALL the condiment bottles back in the door.

Maddox is always up to something. He's babbbling and talking in his own language all the time. He plays pretty well by himself and will push his trucks around or read books and tell himself a story. Lately he's been saying "I Hungy" and going over to his highchair. It's so fun to watch him grow-up.

Baby #2

Maddox is displaying his "I'm Going to Be a Big Brother" Shirt!

Baby Bump. It's sort of there but most days I just look "thick" and like I ate too many brownies for lunch! ha ha.

Happy Halloween!!

Maddox started his Halloween fun with this cute shirt! It even glowed in the dark! He's eating his breakfast bar in this picture- the only way to get him to sit still long enough to take this.

Maddox the PIRATE!!! Arghhh!!!

Our good friends, the Striegel's, came over to go trick-or-treating. This little Pirate and Bumble Bee (Makenna) weren't sure what to think about each other at first!

Mamaw and Papaw Eckerle were in Indy for Halloween and got to see Maddox all dressed-up!
Trick or Treat!!!
The scary stuff didn't scare this pirate... Arrgh!

Makenna and Maddox ending the night in their jammies (this was right before Maddox took a nose dive off the stairs. He's fine though!)

Happy Birthday Papaw!!

Surprise!! Eric arranged a fun golf trip for Kerry's birthday so we arrived late Friday night to surprise him. Maddox gave Papaw a card with the message on it. Keep in mind it was 11pm when we finally got there and Kerry was about ready to grab a baseball bat because he thought someone was breaking in. At least it was a surprise! =)

While the boys golfed, Maddox helped Mamaw cook. I hope he is a good cook like his Daddy!

He ventured into Aunt Stacy's closet and found this bear. He loved this thing!!
He fell asleep and in the middle of the drive he woke up and started crying. Then he covered his face and fell back asleep for another hour. What a Diva! ha ha!

Uncle Darin and Aunt Amanda sent Maddox a new truck book and he loves it! He drags it around the house and looks at it all the time.

After bathtime, Maddox likes to run around naked. On this night, he was playing in the office and Eric found Thomas the Train to entertain him. (I know he'll hate me for this later!)
Maddox has big shoes to fill to be like Daddy!

The News is Out...

MADDOX IS GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!
Here, he displays one of the shirts we used to tell our families our happy news. It reads, "Mom's Knocked Up!" He had a second one that read "I'm Going to Be a Big Brother!" While he seems excited, I'm not sure he knows it means he has to share his "big trucks!" I'm due on April 27th and have one week to go in the first trimester. So far things have been great.

Acting silly!

On a recent car ride, Maddox dumped out all of his toys and then proceeded to wear the plastic toy bin on his head. He kept trying to climb inside it by raising his leg up! It was pretty funny considering he was buckled it!
Eric was being nice and shared his pudding cup for dinner. Maddox dipped his hand in and smeared if all over Eric. Maddox laughed so hard!

More fun!

Maddox recently got his second hair cut!

He helped Eric plant flower bulbs. He actually did pretty well filling the holes with dirt!

Swinging outside with Granna Wood!

Happy Birthday Makenna!!

Maddox recently helped his friend Makenna celebrate her second birthday! He had so much fun at the party with all the girls (Sylvia-1, Makenna-2 and Madison-almost 3!) He was unsure of the bounce house at first and then we couldn't get him out. The girls went down on their bottoms while Maddox dove out head first. Typical boy!!

Summer Time is Almost Over...

As Summer comes to a close, we've been enjoying lots of time outside. Maddox LOVES being outside. He hangs around the front door in the evenings and makes whining sounds to go out. (This is after we've been out for almost 2 hours playing!) I don't know what we are going to do this winter! He's saying more and more words but "Big Truck" is still his favorite phrase.
Enjoying an evening with Daddy and Papaw Eckerle!
Safety First! We went to the Bear Hollow Fall Fest and saw chain saw carvings so Maddox had to wear ear plugs. He didn't mind too much but was sort of unsure about the carvers!

Summertime means cornhole. Here, Maddox shows the Vaught and Hendricks kids how to score points!

Staying overnight with Grandparents!

Maddox recently stayed overnight with Granna and Papaw Wood. Here's some of the fun he had:
Visiting Great-Grandma McNeely is always a treat. Great-Grandma is 91 and Maddox is 13 months old- he could learn alot from her!!
Maddox and Papaw were playing under a kitchen towel! Who needs toys?!

Granna and Maddox took and trip to the mall for a new "truck" book. Maddox stayed in his stroller the entire time and looked at the book- even upside down- all the way home! He LOVES this book!!!
